ImageCare, LLC is Northeast Columbia’s only full-service outpatient radiology facility. We specialize in diagnostic procedures and provide a wide range of imaging services, including:

Our radiologists are fellowship trained and board certified by the American Board of Radiology. We provide a typed report to the referring physician’s office within 24 hours and provide physician-to-physician call reports in cases that involve significant abnormalities.

Meet Our Highly Qualified Physicians


W. John Bayard, M.D.
Dr. Bayard specializes in body imaging and is a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed a residency in diagnostic radiology at the Medical College of Georgia and went on to complete his fellowship in body imaging at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. Bayard is certified by the American Board of Radiology and joined ImageCare in 1985.
Timothy P. Close, M.D.
Dr. Close specializes in vascular and interventional radiology. A graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center, Dr. Close completed a residency in diagnostic radiology at Rush Presbyterian – St. Luke’s Medical Center and a fellowship in vascular/interventional radiology at The George Washington University Medical Center. He is a Diplomat certified by the American Broad of Radiology. Dr. Close joined ImageCare Radiology in 1989.
Tommy E. Cupples, M.D.
Dr. Cupples specializes in breast imaging and intervention. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences and completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at the Methodist Hospital of Memphis. Dr. Cupples completed his fellowship in breast imaging and intervention at the University of Illinois, College of Medicine at Peoria, and The Susan G. Komen Breast Center in Peoria, Illinois. He is certified by the American Board of Radiology and joined ImageCare in 1995.
Martin P. Dommers, Jr., M.D.
Dr. Dommers, Jr. specializes in neuroradiology and is a graduate of the University of Illinois School of Medicine. Dr. Dommers completed a residency in diagnostic radiology at St. Francis Hospital and a fellowship in neuroradiology at Rush Presbyterian – St. Luke’s Medical Center. Dr. Dommers is certified by the American Board of Radiology and joined ImageCare in 1984.
Alan B. Kantsiper, M.D.
Dr. Kantsiper specializes in diagnostic radiology and nuclear medicine. He is a graduate of Chicago Medical School and completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Kantsiper is certified by the American Board of Radiology and joined ImageCare in 1980.

 G. Edmund Richmond, M.D.
Dr. Richmond specializes in neuroradiology and is a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina, where he completed a general radiology residency and a fellowship in neuroradiology. Certified by the American Board of Radiology, Dr. Richmond joined ImageCare in 1971.
